Born in Melbourne, raised on the Central Coast and now a Sydney based cinematographer, director and writer – Matthew Hopkins has an unrelenting passion and necessity to create, capture and invoke an emotional and tactile response to his wildly appreciated body of work.

A cinematographer by way of photography, design and pure obsession. Matthew has developed a style and approach to his work influenced by his surroundings and his longing for knowledge of the craft.

Collaboration is one of Hopkins greatest forms of creative endeavours. Approaching and executing challenge is his strong suit.
