PRINCE OF ARRAN
MELBOURNE
CUP JOURNEY
SERIES CAMPAIGN l BRANDED CONTENT
Crater produced a four part series following the thoroughbred horse Prince Of Arran from his stables in Newmarket, United Kingdom to the Melbourne Cup in Australia. Trained by Charlie Fellowes, the Prince is a stakes winner through and through so was is one to watch out for.
In 2018, Prince Of Arran finished third in the Melbourne Cup behind Cross Counter and Marmelo so there was no doubt in Charlie Fellowes mind that that would make the journey over to Australia again. After many months of training and planning at the Bedford House Stables, Prince of Arran was lucky to have Travelling Head Girl take the lead of getting the Prince over to Australia safely. Crater was there from the beginning, knowing that this horse’s journey would be a story to tell, especially if it went two better at the 2019 Melbourne Cup.
The journey from the UK to Australia is no easy task for a horse, trainer and everyone involved. Crater negotiated capturing footage and interviews at all times of the day from the Prince’s departure in the UK to quarantine through Melbourne airport late at night and quarantine in at American stables outside of Melbourne.
The coverage from Crater culminated in interviews with star jockey Michael walker and watching the horse take the 2nd place in a thrilling finish at the 2019 Melbourne Cup.
